“Are you happy?”

“Are you happy?”

This is probably the single most asked question in the world, right after “how are you?” but usually the “are you happy?” question is the one we ask ourselves.  So, what’s the answer?  Does it come to you quickly or is it something you have to ponder for a while?

Sometimes it’s hard in these busy times for us to stop for a minute to ponder such a profound question but in order to actually become a happy person, you have to start to think about it and pay attention to the things in your life that you appreciate.  Too often we get so caught up in life and focusing on our stressors that what actually makes us tick gets swept under the proverbial rug and we never truly find our happiness.

So, if you’re still having trouble answering this question for yourself, let’s think of some things you can do to help you along your journey.

When we wake up in the morning we have a choice to make immediately; will it be a good day or a bad day?  Our outlook on the day can have a dramatic impact on how it actually plays out.  We’re not saying you have to jump out of bed and scream “oh happy day!” (is that even possible before coffee?) but what we are suggesting is to take a quiet moment in the time between when the alarm goes off and when you actually get out of bed to decide how you are going to feel.  Choose to have a good day & see what happens.

Before bed is also a wonderful time to reflect on life, but you have to be careful how you use this time.  Don’t use it to focus on the negatives you may be experiencing - this will only keep you up all night and not help in the least with your happiness quest!  Let the negative be the thing that gets swept under the rug; use this time for gratitude for the good things that happened either in the day or your life in general.  Do you have a roof over your head?  Do you have people in your life who care about you?  What do you like about yourself?  Did you eat well today?  Did you exercise?  If you can’t say yes to all those questions, don’t worry - pick your own questions that you can say yes to.  Be grateful to yourself for what you did accomplish and for the good things in your life.  Focus on these things before you go to sleep and get QUALITY REST!  Adding AP Regimen Hyber-Nite will change your life in this regard, trust us!  Getting quality sleep is a huge key to your overall wellbeing and you will experience it like never before with Hyber-Nite!

Bring passion into your life!!  Is there something that you love doing?  Are you doing it?  Whether it be your work or a hobby, it’s important to do something that makes your heart sing.  You may be saying that you don’t have time for anything more than what you’re already doing but you know what they say - if something is important to you, you’ll MAKE the time.  So, if playing the drums brings out your inner child - PLAY THEM!  If it’s reading that tickles your fancy - TURN THOSE PAGES!  For us at Headquarters, getting our AP Regimen Pre-Workout in and getting our “pump on” in the gym makes our souls sing….so, we make sure to do that daily or we just aren’t ourselves.

Lastly and probably the most important point of all -  treat yourself with respect.  Don’t beat yourself up over things, let yourself FEEL when something good happens.  Savor small moments.  Nourish your body with healthful foods in their most natural form.  Take quality supplements that support your goals and improve your health.  Exercise - use that body you are so lucky to have.

Making a conscious effort towards happiness and making the right choices as often as you can while forgiving yourself quickly for the wrong choices will put you on the right path.  Remember though, happiness is a journey, not a destination so don’t stop when you feel it!
